Everyone dreams about devastating cross-examinations and powerful closing arguments at trial, but few lawyers share similar sentiments about preparing written discovery or completing basic depositions. Without effective use of written discovery and depositions, however, it is difficult to ever enjoy a high level of success at trial or through alternative dispute resolution.

In this session:

• Review the rules for written discovery and depositions
• Explore examples demonstrating effective use of the tools needed
• Discuss strategy for using those tools to either establish evidence for your themes or limit the evidence available to your adversary.

During this session, attendees will learn how to litigate an automobile accident from the plaintiff’s perspective. Attorney Eric M. Beasley will instruct attendees on how to choose a case wisely, how to be well-equipped from the start in order to prepare the case, including understanding the liability and causation involved, knowing the expected damages, plus being able to teach the client how to interpret a medical bill.
