Abby Larimer, of Counsel at Ford Harrison, concentrates her legal practice on the representation and counsel of management in a broad range of matters related to employment law. Abby has represented employers in matters involving restrictive covenants, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and has significant experience counseling employers on issues stemming from regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and state wage and hour laws such as employee misclassification, meals and rest breaks, and other wage and hour concerns.
Abby also guides clients through internal investigations, terminations, and reductions-in-force, with an emphasis on utilizing best practices in these procedures in order to minimize legal risks and prevent litigation when possible. Policy review and revision is another component of Abby’s preventive counsel practice, and she routinely works with employers to ensure that their personnel policies align with federal, state, and local employment laws.
