Emily Hobbs is the Director of QAPI & Regulatory Compliance for Phoenix Home Care, a home health agency based in Springfield, Missouri with 12 branch locations across three states. She is also the owner of Homecare Quality Consulting, LLC, which is a consulting agency focused on home health quality and performance improvement. She has been a Registered Nurse for more than 20 years, with a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, and certifications for Home Care Clinical Specialist OASIS (HCS-O), Diagnosis (HCS-D), Compliance (HCS-C) and Hospice coding (HCS-H). She has worked in the Home Health Care industry since 2003, with experience as a Home Health Case Manager, Branch Director/DON, Administrator, Quality Assurance Manager, and QAPI Director. She has experience in Quality Assurance chart audits, including coding and OASIS reviews, survey and billing compliance, ADRs, and TPE submissions; drafting of policies/procedures manuals; mock surveys; operational and performance improvement analysis/implementation. She has given multiple presentations on OBQI/OBQM, Conditions of Participation, Surviving Targeted Probe & Educate, Home Health Compare and HHCAHPS, as well as OASIS education. She is well-versed in Home Health Compare and CASPER reporting, and utilizes this knowledge to help agencies to achieve 5 STAR quality ratings.
