Jennifer L. Cooper, MHIIM, RHIA, CDIP, CCS, HIM director at Hunt Regional Healthcare in Greenville, Texas, has more than 17 years of experience in healthcare working in various roles within the HIM department. She began as a coder and became a CDI specialist as she assisted in the development of the inpatient CDI program in 2012. In 2013, she became the manager of coding and CDI, and then director of HIM in 2017. Cooper is a past member of the Texas ACDIS Chapter leadership team, a previous member of the ACDIS Conference Committee, and currently an ACDIS Leadership Council member. She also served as TxHIMA’s DFW-HIMA secretary from 2018 to 2020.
