Katherine Vanderhorst is president and co-founder of C&V Senior Care Specialists, Inc., a board-certified psychiatric nurse with 30+ years of clinical experience in behavioral healthcare and Alzheimer’s care, and a certified care manager. Vanderhorst has been working in home care and home health since 1995 and published two studies on the effectiveness of behavioral health home care. In her 15 years with a national home care provider, she developed behavioral health home care programs for seniors, adults, and children as well as Alzheimer’s and related dementia programs. She is deeply passionate about enabling the highest-level and least restrictive care for elderly patients with mental health and cognitive issues.
