Coding Training and Educator, Bon Secours Home Health and Hospice

Maurice began his career in Home Care in 2005. After serving 30 years in the US Navy, he started his second career with Bon Secours Home Health and Hospice as an Insurance Authorizations Specialist in February of that year. In 2008 he became a CPC-A. That year he also earned his HCS-D and was given the position as Coding Specialist for Bon Secours Home Care and Hospice where he was responsible for the coding for the organization. During his time, he has also earned his HCS-H and assumed the responsibility for Hospice coding as well as continuing his role as coder for Home Health.

In 2018 he was selected as the organizations first Coding Training and Educator for Bon Secours Home Health and Hospice. As such, he is responsible for the training and education, coordination, monitoring and auditing the certified coders for Home Health and Hospice.Over the past 8 years he has written several Coding Basic articles on coding topics covering both Home Health and Hospice for Diagnosis Coding Pro.
