Dr. Shelley C. Safian has been teaching health care administration, health information and informatics management, and medical billing and coding, both onsite and online, for more than a decade. Safian completed her PhD in Health Care Administration in June 2011. In addition, she holds a graduate certificate in health care management, a graduate certificate in health informatics, and a master’s degree in organizational management. Safian writes numerous articles each year on various aspects of coding, including ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT.
