Tami Carter, CPCO, CHC, is a compliance analyst and educator for the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, N.Y. Carter has nearly 20 years’ experience in billing and coding compliance primarily in orthopedics and internal medicine. She is currently working for the office of integrity and compliance at URMC focusing on compliance and education for the outpatient OBGYN, pediatric and orthopedic departments. Her areas of expertise include CMS billing requirements, E/M coding audits, provider education, clinical documentation improvement and privacy compliance.
